Athletic Club Desoto County

Starting out in 2000 as two separate groups with common goals the club has come a long way in a short time.
One side went straight into division 1 playing under the banner of "Mississippi Futbol Club."
One side utilized Mississippi Soccer
Association's "Challenge" program with a team called Genesis because
it represented the beginning for competitive soccer in DCSA.

For the 2001/2002 A second Challenge team was born.

Eventually those three teams merged.
This picture is from the 2005/2006 season
which was the last season before disbanding.
A U-19 boys team was started in 2002 and
lasted until most graduated in 2004. In 2003 they were second
in the state and for the 2004 season they placed third in the state and won the
State games.
10 of these 13 young men went on to play
college ball.

It was not until the 2005/2006 season
that girls made their presence known with a U-16 and U-19 team.
Both teams went to their respective state tournaments with a 5th and 4th place
finish. Not bad for a first year!

2006/2007 Yields a second girls team.
Since it's inception the club has been through ups and downs while trying to provide an economical and convenient answer to the various Memphis clubs.
Our location and situation is unique. We continue to press forward with our player first mentality and form teams in as many groups as possible.
For 2007/2008 our name changes. We adopt a geographic designation while still maintaining a "football" icon... Athletic Club Desoto County or ACDC.
